Like those ^^ I've been through the website several times and used google against them. Are they called something else? I find it really hard to believe they don't sell them? |

These are for fixing to wood. I have just found that Travis have them (galvanised rather than stainless[1]) so I will leg it over tomorrow first thing, assuming they have stock. [1] Should be fine - they're not in a wet or damp application, so galvanic corrosion between these and the ali foil face of the celotex should not be an issue. OTOH I'd use SS for celotexing a wooden workshop |

I was just wondering about that The one thing the "correct" washers have is they are countersunk, so the whole thing pulls in flush which is handy if overlining with plasterboard as we are. |

When it's going to be hard up against plasterboard, I haven't used any washers - the screws (or even nails) are only holding it in place so it doesn't fall out whilst you are fixing up the plasterboard. At first, I thought you were referring to the washers used to keep celotex against the inner wall of a cavity, and I've only seen plastic ones used for that. -- Andrew Gabriel [email address is not usable -- followup in the newsgroup] |

If overboarding, all you really need is something to tack it in place until you fix the board through it into the wall (or were you planning to stick the PB on?) When I lined my workshop, I used a few blobs of PU foam to hold it in place, and then screwed through the ply lining into the wall with long screws. -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |
