Ride-on mower gearbox lubricant?
Old Laser (Mountfield / Westwood family, belt drive, Kohler twin engine).
Tecumseh 6 speed gearbox and back axle, had to remove it to free up corroded selector shaft. Surprised to find it lubricated with a graphite or moly grease, not particularly thin. Would have expected oil or at least "CV joint" type grease. Can't find any guidance on the web, anyone got any thoughts? TIA....Steve |
