Default Well, that was not expected

Gas board have had the entire street dug up laying a replacement gas
main, to replace the original one which is rusting and leaking. They
have been causing chaos for a couple of weeks now and expect to be
still at it after Christmas.

They are running the new main first, then running the pipes up the
drive last.

This morning they came around delivering Christmas cards - hope they
are not staying for Christmas dinner. :-)
