Default Salter carpet feet

I've mislaid the carpet feet on my Salter 9028 bathroom scales which I
now need as I've carpeted the bathroom.

Salter say they cant supply spare parts , so I need to find an
alternative or make some.

I cant remember what they look like ,and goggle images cant help

Anyone got a picture ?

Caster cups could be an alternative if I could find some with a small
internal diameter 2.1cm

I did read that its not obvious how they fit ( not Push ) anyone
know?

All help appreciated

Throw the scales away and don't replace them, we did some 20 years ago and
have never looked back!

Mount it on a square of plywood.

I am afraid that doesn't work. The gravitational force is still
distributed between the elastic deformation of the carpet and of the
transducer. Depending on their moduli. So the scale reads low.

I suggest you think of bathroom scales on top of bathroom scales; or on
the deck of a boat.

The problem with bathroom scales on carpet arises if the carpet touches
the underside base of the scales. And can lead to the scales showing
you weigh *more*.

So the scale can never work if you use feet that cut through the carpet
and underlay so the feet touch the floorboards beneath? The floor boards
are no different to the sheet of ply/chip/MDF.

He is talking through his arse
Another example of ALKIADT.

So long as the 4 feet remain the only support points, the scale will
work as intended.

Which IME is not very well really.
