We have been digging out for a driveway and have unearthed this manhole.... we thought it must be water at first although one of the pipes is yellow which indicates gas. We have spoken with both the gas and water boards and neither have any record of it! The gas board has been out and say they are not sure whether it is gas or not or what it is! The water board aer coming out later this week........

Not too surprising... a lot of the records have been trashed over the years
- privatisation, costcutting, etc.

By the way, you're posting to a text Usenet group where binaries aren't
