http://www.zerohedge.com/news/worlds-largest-solar-plant-21-billion-energy-department-loan-guarantee-files-bankruptcy -- To people who know nothing, anything is possible. To people who know too much, it is a sad fact that they know how little is really possible - and how hard it is to achieve it. |

Job creation and demolition too! The lawyers and insolvency practitioners will doubtless pick the carcass bare. It is a larger US version of the fantasy apprenticeships that Panorama highlighted last night that have been created to milk the grant system at a rate of £9k per unfortunate "apprentice" *NOT* trained. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17564251 Only about £0.25Bn or so has gone AWOL so far with this scheme. 10% of all apprentices work for Morrisons (40% of all their employees!). (and they are the relatively good guys providing some real training) The dodgy ones are just scams pure and simple exploiting a series of crass loopholes without any oversight or inspections. -- Regards, Martin Brown |

Of course. Once the government starts handing out money the snouts are in the trough faster than you can say 'harry's solar panels' Harry is the classic case in point. -- To people who know nothing, anything is possible. And the sea is rising so fast you would swear the tides were coming on :-) Meanwhile hydro is down to sub 200MW. Even the stupid turbines are doing better - well they are today anyway. -- To people who know nothing, anything is possible. What do you think they had to dream up a stupid term like 'renewable ' anyway ? To sell it to the greentards. They didnt need to sell it to anyone with hydro. There is no renewable energy in the whole known universe. Thats just plain wrong with hydro. We are, and we always have been, living on borrowed time. Nope, not now that we have invented nukes. And while it may be strictly true with that ****ing great fusion system we orbit around, in a practical sense it isnt. Yes, the grid powered by nukes is much more effective. Thats an entirely separate matter to what is a fraud. |
