attaching polystyrene to brick
"Mike" wrote in message oups.com... Hi I'll keep it short. Anyone know of a suitable adhesive for this job? Cheers I'm guessing but none of the solvent based products would be advisable but the 'non-solvent' water based 'no-nails' products should be fine. I just popped onto the Screwfix site to get a product reference and on their Adhesives & sealants index page they quote-- "Solvent Free Grab Adhesives. For internal high grab adhesion and gap filling. Suitable for most materials, including polystyrene. ..." Bob |

attaching polystyrene to brick

I'll keep it short. Too short. Is this expanded polystyrene (foam), dense rigid polystyrene or some other polymer ? If it's foam, use a solvent-free (watery) cartridge. If it's rigid, go for one with a solvent. If it really is polystyrene, then it's probably clear glazing, in which case a butyl rubber mastic is probably best, as some of the solvents can cause clouding. |
