gas oven stopped working
Can't hear or smell gas coming out of the burners. Electric starter not
making "clicking" noise. Won't light with a match. Grill is working with the electric starter. What might be wrong? |

There are a number of possibilities. My guess is that this might be an oven where the gas for the oven uses a solenoid operted gas valve and it's broken. -- Ed Sirett - Property maintainer and registered gas fitter. Is it one with a fold down lid? If so it may be the lid inhibit device has got a little sticky and has stuck in the closed position. -- Cheers, John. /================================================== ===============\ | Internode Ltd - http://www.internode.co.uk | |-----------------------------------------------------------------| | John Rumm - john(at)internode(dot)co(dot)uk | \================================================= ================/ |

Lids have either: No interlock (common on low end kit). Total cut off of the supply gas. Mechanical interlock to the hob gas taps. -- Ed Sirett - Property maintainer and registered gas fitter. The message
from Clint Sharp contains these words: Pound in the meter? Kink in the hose? -- Skipweasel Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. |
