There will be tears before bedtime if they crash and their insurance
refuses to pay out because the vehicle has been "modified". Obviously
sticking red gaffer tape over a white van is a material fact - if you
were an insurer, wouldn't you load the premiums.

Yes, signage of any kind on a van represents a modification which must
be notified to the insurance company
