Default Pimping my ride!

Got a set of new wheel trims for my "Babe Magnet" (Corsa 1.0! - doesn't
so much snap knicker elastic as makes it go a bit saggy! :=)) for
Christmas.

Came to fit them this morning, and found they won't stay on (minor
problem which should be solvable with a few nylon ties per wheel).

However, as the car originally had "hub caps" the valves fitted don't
quite protrude through the new wheel trim. I think there should just
about be enough clearance to get a garage air line on for topping up,
but there is no chance of getting the dust caps on and off.

Does anyone know of anywhere that sells extra long dust caps?

Hmm, just thinking aloud, maybe I could drill a hole i the end of the
dust caps and insert a machine screw from the underside and then put a
number of nuts on it in order to extend it.
Not very pretty though.

You used to be able to get alloy dustcaps in the shape of mini stunt
pegs - surprisingly neither eBay or Google has any reference to these,
but it's possible that there are still some lurking in the dusty
recesses of your local bicycle shop.

Jam a bit of flexible plastic tubing over the valve cap, cut to length.

I'd just go to any tire outfit and ask them. More than likely they'll
just hand you some. That way you can save your money and carry on
pimping ....

I notice he's selling them "For a friend!"

Dead classy, them - I might buy them if I didn't already have fluffy
cowskin seat covers :-)
