'GLOBAL BIRD FLU COULD CAUSE U.K. ECONOMIC CATASTROPHE'
As the world waits for a deadly repetition of the devastating 1918
influenza pandemic, more and more urgent warnings are being issued by an increasing number of experts and organizations concerning the near-future likelihood of a global avia flu pandemic. A pandemic that could kill up to 20% of the world's population. But, despite an increasing flood of bad news, China claims to have developed an absolutely effective bird flu vaccine. Will there be enough time to produce and stockpile sufficient vaccine doses in the face of what increasingly appears to be a rapidly-mutating and widely-spreading avian flu virus? Read these alarming accounts, and more, on these comprehensive news web page: 'The Coming Global 'Bird Flu' Pandemic - Warnings Increase As China Claims A Cure' http://www.nwointelligence.com/NEWS189.HTM 'Will The 1918 Flu Be An Elite Tool For Global De-Population?' http://www.nwointelligence.com/1918FLU.HTM 'SARS And Flu - Epidemic And Pandemic News Reports' http://www.nwointelligence.com/SARSFLU.HTM And for more up-to-date news you need to know on the collapsing U.S. dollar, the declining U.S. economy, the rise of China, and the New World Order, visit the news story index page at http://www.nwointelligence.com/newsitem.htm (this item may be re-posted if unedited and unaltered) Looking for superb and unique handcrafted classic, reproduction antique, or early Canadiana-style furniture? It's a bit concerning that even Eskimos got Spanish flu in 1918.
I'm not sure if my master-plan to stock up with tinned food and live in a hole in my back garden's going to work now. Either being a Russian cosmonaut on a space station or being a nuclear submarriner are probably the best bets for almost guaranteed survival. |

The Eskimos believe, probably correctly, that the virus was introduced
to their communities by employees of the US mail service. 20% might be a little conservative. |

Yes, they're checking all flights out too. ;-) -- Regards, Mike Halmarack Drop the EGG to email me. |

With 31 known flu pandemics since 1580, it is fairly safe to say that the 1918 pandemic was atypical. The pandemics of 1957 and 1968 provide much more credible models for future pandemics. ..... But, despite an increasing flood of bad news, China claims to have developed an absolutely effective bird flu vaccine. .... Most experts think that vaccinating birds is likely to make the flu endemic, which is not considered to be an improvemnt. .... Will there be enough time to produce and stockpile sufficient vaccine doses in the face of what increasingly appears to be a rapidly-mutating and widely-spreading avian flu virus? .... If the virus mutates to create a pandemic, existing vaccines are unlikely to be effective, which is why most European countries are planning on using anti-viral agents as the first line of defence.
