Default 8mm shank router bits

Someone was seeking 8mm router bits.

http://www.wealdentool.com/

I find the above to be excellent.

Stick with the 8mm bits if possible. They are far superior to 6mm

In what respect are they better? Not having a go, just curious.

Hi Paul
Well you have about 77% more bulk in the shaft with consequent
advantages in resistance to slip, whip, chatter etc.

More aggressive cuts can be made and they also break less easily.

Makes sense - thanks.

Dave
