Default FA: small mig welder, Los Angeles area

here's the link

this is a lot better than the harbor freight units, but it's not up to
professional standards. Local pickup is OK, will consider trades also, I
suppose.

Bill, I paid over $400 for a Lincoln unit a lot like this--looks like a
bargain. Incidentally, I use mine without gas, with fluxcore wire, for two
reasons: a.) For portability, I like not having to drag a cylinder with me.
b.) Fluxcore (gasless) welding can be done even outdoors in a breeze.

Hey, I had that exact welder! Mine was made in Italy, of all places.
You can imagine my relief when it didn't say "Made in PRC."

I picked up a PowerMig 100 for cheap... It needed the wire feed
mechanism fixed and I cobbled one together from scrap around the shop.
for the hour or so I've spent using it it's worked fine. The gun has a
gas valve built into it, and I think I might use the gun on another mig
welder, a Lincoln WeldPak 100. Flux core works great, but it can be a
pain to clean up.

There certainly doesn't seem to be too much that can go wrong with the
PowerMig 100, as it basicly just a transformer. If any one is
interested, there's a couple of pictures on my site, at:
http://members.cox.net/jeffpolaski/. CLick on Welders, then pictures.

I Need to update the pictures if the WeldPak 100. It works now--I've a
cheap Chinese spoolgun.
