A friend asked "Why is the highest bidder of an eBay auction
called 'the winner'..." and I had no answer...

Dake presses are built in Grand Haven, Michigan. One of the best
places to go to the beach here in West Michigan. I've been going there
since I was a kid.

Here's a link to a GH beach cam just so you can do a daily check of
the weather at the beach. I do every day in the summer. Gallery of fav
pics there too.

Great little city.

Hey Iggy,

WOW !!! Watch for a counterweight that is too heavy....look at the
top cross-frame(s). The remaining one is bent, and looks to me like
they cut the front one off because to was too badly bent to leave.
Strange.

I am not sure if the front one ever existed. I bet that they bent it
when moving this press with a crane, there is a mark in the middle
from a crane hook.
