Our church did just that after the floods of hurricane Agnes hit PA in
1972. Ditto for Katrina a few years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if
church groups are already there along with the usual volunteer outfits
such as the Red Cross. The governor has a good idea.

I agee...it is an excellent idea.

The big problem is that only a small number of people do it and it is
the same ones over and over againg.

In a church, you will see the same ones doing the work while the
others talk..and complain..and make excuses.

That type of personality ...the complainers and excusers...are also
those who post their conservative rants here.

In life, those doing the work seldom have the time to complain and
make excuses.
