GE-18 Transistors
I found 5 of them, NOS still in the packaging.
Anyone need them? Free to a good home Gunner -- "If I say two plus two is four and a Democrat says two plus two is eight, it's not a partial victory for me when we agree that two plus two is six. " Jonah Goldberg (modified) |

OTOH, the RCA SK series was available in the mid '60s. There were others, like Motorola's HEP, Sylvania ECG, Workman WEP and a lot of smaller general purpose replacements. GE's line were some of the worst. High leakage currents, and wouldn't work in RF circuits, even though they claimed to replace RF parts in radios. They had a high, in warranty failure rate as well. In some cases, we ordered the OEM transistors, because the distributors wouldn't stock the parts offered by RCA or Sylvania. -- You can't fix stupid. You can't even put a Band-Aid™ on it, because it's Teflon coated. |

Takes me back down memory lane a long way.
ICs then CPUs with 0.05" spacing came in and wrecked the whole thing. ---------------- "Michael A. Terrell" wrote in message m... Yes. OTOH, the RCA SK series was available in the mid '60s.
