This is why I never buy any Apple products. I feel that they hate me
and want to put me in "jail". I see a lot of people writing about "jailbreaking" Apple products. This always puzzled me, as paying money to Apple to be in jail, does not strike me as a good idea. i On 2011-01-26, azotic wrote: ?Apple is switching to a new type of tamper-resistant screw. This is not a standard Torx, and there are no readily available screwdrivers that can remove it. This isn't the first time they've used this type of screw-it first appeared in the mid-2009 MacBook Pro to prevent you from replacing the battery-and Apple is using a similar screw on the outer case of the current MacBook Air. http://www.ifixit.com/blog/blog/2011...w-your-iphone/ Gonna make a screw driver. Small dividing head, ball nosed end mill, and some drill rod. T&C grinder, indexer, and some drill blank. I think a triangular shape might work. Any other ideas? Best Regards Tom. |
