Maybe this is a good idea where water is in short supply but Michigan is swimming in the

50k gallons costs about $1.98 around the Great Lakes. Foolish libs can't do
math, or more likely...some lib's brother got the contract and libtard
politicians got kick-backs. Gee, I wonder if taxes were paid on all the
graft?

it really amazes me that you guys know for sure that it was liberals who
violated the installation instructions on an appliance, leading to exactly
the problems expected. Do you think it is just possible that you cannot
infer someone's politics from their inability to read instructions? I am
personally aware of installations of waterless urinals that have been
operating flawlessly for 5 or more years, without odors. Now, these are
installed in a large facility in one of the more liberal states - Texas - so
I guess that doesn't count.

I encourage you guys to consider forming synapses and then employing them
productively -

Building code requires copper pipes

This is the STOOOPID part that needs to be fixed.

It's not uncommon. It's very stupid. It's driven by no concern whatever
for hygiene, the safety of the public, or sense, and a great deal of old
idiocy and current "Pipes rot out, we get to replace them with more
pipes which will rot out, and cost 20 (or more) times what pipes that
won't rot out cost!"

Saw a guy with a chunk of 2" copper pipe in the back of the truck a
couple years back when copper was going sky high. PVC might have been a
whole $2 for 10 feet in the same size.

-WTF is that for?

=Drain pipe on the commercial dishwasher (which uses harsh
=chemicals that eat copper, which PVC pipe ignores) rotted out.

-Why copper?

=Code required for commercial buildings!

STOOPID, STOOPID, STOOOPID!!

Hang the repuplidinks and libtards, and the endless doing nothing
because so and so is purported to be one or the other and being more
stupid than the other guy gets you points with your base - fix the
fscked up building code that's overcharging everyone who needs to run a
fricking drain line and making sure that they rot out.

I didn't make any political statement. I did say the things are nasty though.

political statement is clear in the thread title. No information RE
unionization of Chicago building code writers, my point was that nonsense is
nonsense, and the political attribution is uncalled for.

Oh, and apparently some folks (not you) cannot recognize sarcasm, but that's
to be expected in puerile conversations.

We would all be a lot better off, and the country would too, if political
slander were omitted where it is uncalled for. there is nothing liberal or
conservative about urination, nor about improperly installed appliances, or
about building codes that don't make sense.

Texas doesn't look to liberal when you look at their results:

I'm jaded. But, you are absolutely correct.

The whole story stinks. (pun intended) The lack of common sense and the
resulting costs in SOOO many situations just sickens me. There was
absolutely no reason to use that technology in the first place. How did no
one know the details of the incompatibility? Who ends up paying for these
huge mistakes? Why is there no accountability or responsibility?

Four German pensioners were so incensed with their financial
advisor after making losses on investments that they kidnapped
him in a bid to get their money back. They told the court at
their trial on Monday that they had been "taken for a ride."

A quartet of disgruntled German pensioners is alleged to have
taken the law into their own hands after investments turned sour.
The four, plus an accomplice, faced charges of kidnapping in a
German court on Monday. They are accused of holding their
financial advisor hostage for four days last June after
sustaining heavy losses on property investments in the US.

On Monday one of the accused, a 74-year old man, admitted that he
and one of his co-accused had snatched the 56-year-old advisor
from his home and transporting him across the country.

The accused said that he had been "taken for a ride and fooled"
by the financial advisor.

Prosecutors have charged the two married couples, aged between 60
and 79, as well as an alleged co-conspirator, with carrying out
the kidnapping in order to recoup losses amounting to €2.5
million ($3.4 million) in rotten investments.

According to the prosecutors, the accused tied up the advisor in
his apartment, covered his mouth with tape and then used a
pushcart to transport him in a box to a car, where they place him
in the trunk. The hostage managed to escape the car during the
455-kilometer journey across the country, but was recaptured and
sustained two broken ribs in the struggle.

I was responding to my thoughts on these waterfree urinals. I have practical experience.

I'm going to say something good about a union. In a recent WSJ Opinion Journal artical,
they (union) were crisized for holding out for water supply lines in a waterless urinal
install.

Given my thoughts on these nasty smelly things, when sanity prevails, being able to put in
water using urinals with pipes just behind the wall will be a cost savings.

Oh, and apparently some folks (not you) cannot recognize sarcasm, but that's

Well you are going to love Waxman pushing the California Code on the rest of the country
as part of cap and trade. California's solutions for energy conservation are not
necessarily good ideas for Michigan.
