Looks interesting. I have been carrying the maglight in the comparison for a few months.
I wish it was a bit shorter. I'm tempted to buy one of the Colemans to see it if works
out and make my LED maglight a glovebox flashlight.

The LED 2AA maglight is so much better than the incandescent one. Almost like night and
day.

I only have two of them so far....

No problems other than people always trying to borrow them....

As for mag, I like the Nite Ize, or Teralux bulbs for the
minimag.

The Nite Ize for C and D cells, I find to be useless. The
LED original equipment C and D Mags, I really like.

Guy at work mentioned buying one. Asked him to bring it in today. It is awesome! I'd
have stopped at the box store and bought one tonight but I figured the ride home was going
to be a long one due to blizzard conditions.

I'm getting one of those for me!

Make sure you don't pick up the one that uses 3 AAA batteries. Same lumen output but I'd
rather stick with 2 AA batteries. Weather was better than I expected so I had time to
stop at wallymart and buy one before work this morning.

Pointing this flashlight intentionally at someone's eyes could be chargable as assault.

Metalworking content. Flashlight is made out of an extrusion in good old China. The
flats and slots were cut by two different endmills. I can see some marks from where the
tools dwelled. I wish they had run a knurling tool on the body instead. I may correct
that in the near future.

CY: Me, also. AA cells have higher capacity, and the 2AA
design is much more pocket friendly.

CY: You da machinist! Hey, if you've got the tools, use em.
I've heard suggested to coat the barrel in heat shrink
tubing so as to give better grip, and less chance of
freezing your fingers in cold weather.

That looks very heavy. A properly made headlamp with
batteries at the back makes sense.

The lack of knurling is about the only complaint I have with mine. It
does make it slick if it gets damp.
What I am going to do with mine is to coat the body with tool handle
dip. Should make it better.

The only other minor complaint is watch your skin when you screw down
the tail cap. Easy to get some skin in the kerf and OOPS...
