I need to make a whole bunch of covers and the little Brother
just can't do it.

You need a 132K6 !

For $2600?

I can have all the covers I need made professionally for half that!

But if I could find a basic 1950-1960 Singer for a couple hundred,
I'd snap it up in a hurry.

I had a hard time getting my model 15 back from my niece after she
borrowed it to make some awnings and her daughter who designs and sews
theater costumes would very much like to get her hands on it
permanently! I got it for $2.00 because the portable case was mouldy.

Wow - sewing machines are that expensive over where you are!
A friend has a compromise - a true walking-foot machine but the size of
a domestic model. Only paid a few hundred for it new, uses it for his
boat vinyl.
