If it was June 2007, how long would the amount that GM borrowed and wants to borrow now
take to have paid off? That is assuming the economy hadn't crashed.

IMNSHO forever, as GM was losing money at that point, even with
some of the slickest accountants in the business doing their
books.

The current economic contraction did not cause GM's and
Chrysler's problems, it only advanced the crunch point a few
years and sharpened the focus.
