Default HF saw chain sharpener???

Anybody ever try one of these HF chainsaw sharpeners?

http://tinyurl.com/56jngs

Or HF item #93213-7VGA

I have seen/used enough HF stuff to know what NOT to expect, but they
do occasionally sell something that turns out to be an OK value,
considering the price. Perhaps they only do so by mistake. Anyhow, just
curious for any first-hand experiences with this thing.

The other option I am considering is a chain sharpening fixture for my
KO Lee T&C grinder. Overkill maybe, but this crowd appreciates overkill.
Might make an interesting project. I NEED another one of those...

Any opinions??

Thanks,
AL A.

I bought mine when HF was selling one called Nick the Grinder. It works
very well--so well, in fact, that two of my friends bought them after
borrowing mine. I don't think they carry it any more; instead they have a
much cheaper one in their orange plastic. It looks like a knock-off, and I
don't know how it compares, quality-wise.

Not that one, but it looks a lot like a chain saw chain sharpener we used to
have on our hardware store. Worked fine. People would brings us their
blades all the time. Was faster and more accurate than the hand bow type.

They are a little fussy but OK if you watch what you're doing. The
stop may need to be readjusted when switching between right and left.

Thanks for the input, Guys. I'm not sure I ready to order one just yet.
Maybe if they had a store around here where I could look at the thing.
Thanks again!
