OT - Banning Cell Phones and Driving

About %(%*#& time...I am getting real tired of dodging the idiots who think they can do both at the same time. Hell, today I had to do full effort braking because some ftard in a truck saw a line of cars coming off the interstate and pulled right out in front of my 2500# car. If I had been playing with my cell I might have collected him but who's fault would it have been? OT - Banning Cell Phones and Driving
I was coming back from the post office the other day and glad I sat at an
intersection longer than normal. Off the freeway came a 'soccer mom with a phone and mind merged. She came to the underpass and one handed the wheel of her large large SUV. She cut early and took 3 lanes wide - two going the other way (where I would have been). She was coming off the freeway a bit fast and one handed the wheel. That keeps me from jumping to fill an open slot on that underpass. Martin Martin H. If I had been playing with my cell I might have collected him but who's fault would it have been? The fault would have been yours, because you hit him, probably without any skid marks to prove otherwise. As it was, you were fully aware and _didn't_ hit him. I see ftards all the time, their ears plugged with their shiny new Bluetooth hanging off their ear, talking to the wind and not paying attention to their driving. Then again, far too many people don't pay attention to their driving even without the damned phone. For nearly 30 years I've been quipping "Hell, most people can't even steer, let alone _drive_.", and that was well before cellphones. -- Deep doubts, deep wisdom; small doubts, little wisdom. --Chinese Proverb ---- |
