Default Basic valveless pulsejet question

I live in San Diego and hangout at the airports.
One day I was at Gillespie field in El Cajon watching the activity.
Gillespie is home to the westcoast version of the Confederate Airforce
and brags that they are the only small city that has its own Atlas
missile.
Right across the street from there is a church next to a shooting range.
Anyway I started taling with this guy who had a hangar there right in
the shadow of this missile.
We were talking about model planes and rocketry and electric cars and
such
In about 2 minutes he opened the hangar and sure enough he had a
homebuilt electric car made of wood.
A beautifully made radial model airplane engine maybe 100cc
And many pulsejets. He and a friend would build these 5-6 foot pulse
jets and mount them on a go kart, tether car style on some abandoned
runway with some cable and fire up these things.
He said they get up 100mph but only for a couple laps. I have been
around dynajets and they are SUPERLOUD but a 6 foot one would be
SUPERLOUD and SUPERHOT
He had to buy some special metal from Germany that could take the heat
or they just melted.
He had some melted ones to prove it.

Default Basic valveless pulsejet question

--FWIW you might want to head over to SRL's website; IIRC they've
built their own version of a V-1 buzzbomb engine. I hear it's *really*
loud.. Oh, and then there's this character: http://www.simplejets.com/
SRL is at: http://www.srl.org/
