Where to buy a single, reduced-shank drill bit
Looking for an 11/16" drill with 1/2" or 3/8" shank. Just a single
bit. To be used for drilling alum and some wood so it doesn't have to be some super, whiz-bang coated bit or alloy. Local hardware store doesn't have 'em. Thanks in advance. Bill W |

Looking for an 11/16" drill with 1/2" or
3/8" shank. Just a single bit. MSC Direct has them in several makes/grades/finishes, $10-$40. To be used for drilling alum and some wood If the material you're drilling is thin, you might want to think about a Unibit (step drill). Tim. |

My local Auto Value store stocks them but the Chineeeese made them. Seem to
be OK. Horrible Freight has them too. Steve "wildbill" wrote in message oups.com... Looking for an 11/16" drill with 1/2" or 3/8" shank. Just a single bit. Local hardware store doesn't have 'em. Those are called "Silver and Deming" bits for some obscure reason. Be aware that some of them cut quite a bit oversize, so try it out in a piece of scrap BEFORE you use it on your precious... GWE |
