Don't know why I can't reply - so restarting thread.
Brooks had 2 documented run-ins withthe law before he was 21 years old. Apparently not uncommon for a fatherless black inner city kid in Atlanta. Appears he got caught with allegedly stolen goods.(may have been legit - he may or may not have known they were stolen goods - if in fact they were) He was charged with "receiving stolen goods" - not theft or breaking and entering. Likely got a bit roudy getting into the cruiser and kicked the devider or window. Bang - Kid's in jail with 3 charges. He does his time and upon getting out goes to see his baby girl and either the baby momma or her new boyfriend gets in his face - won't let him see the kid. He gets roudy and BANG - 4 more charges - and back in the pokey. A 22 year old fatherless innercity black dude with issues. He does his time and gets out of jail and high-tails it out of Georgia to Ohio where he settles down and gets a job - he's on parole and he keeps his nose clean. He finds out who his daddy is and heads back to Atlanta to get aquainted. Things are going fine. His baby girl is turning 8 years old and they have a party. He has a few brews and leaves - ending up at a Wendys drive through and falls asleep. He's supposed to be taking his daugher skating but instead gets woken up by a mean-assed Atlanta cop (with a record as long as his arm for brutality and bad behavior) - we don't know what happens from there for sure - but apparently the cop pulls his tazer, and the kid says "hell no" - grabs the tazer and runs. The cops take off in hot pursuit, so the kid turns with the tazer and fires it in their direction, hoping to slow them down - he makes like a rabbit and the mean-assed cop pops him THREE TIMES - at least 2 in the BACK!!. The threat of the tazer was already neutralized - he was not endangering the cops at all - they had his car and his address -they knew where to get him at their liesure - but they shoot an an-armed non violent offender IN THE BACK - not once but THREE TIMES. Should he have bolted? No. Would things have turned out differently if he had not? Perhaps - perhaps not. Depending on the circumstances of his first arrest he may have had good reason NOT to want to get into the back of that cruiser. Like I say - no choir boy - but not a dangerous habitual offender either. The cop WAS a "dangerous habitual offender" - and he overstepped the bounds ONCE TOO OFTEN. This time he'll likely end up with his ass behind bars for a few years. And his partner may end up there with him to keep him company - that way they will be able to cover each others backs. DON"T call it a "Lynching" The cops will get their day in court. Brooks did not get his - he WAS Lynched - and do NOT try to tell me that if it was a white boy instead of a black the cops would have done the same thing - because THAT IS BULL****. We are talking Atlanta. That's in GEORGIA Boy!!! And yes, I HAVE worked with "blacks". They are no better or worse, on the whole, than the average white - but in America they sure as hell ARE treated worse (and yes, in Canada too - to a SLIGHTLY lesser degree). And the Native American isn't treated any better. Do I KNOW that's how it all went down? No - but look at the timelines - and what details we DO know. We know when his 2 offences were - and when he got out of jail both times - and that his parole would have been up in Dec 2020 (he had been out for almost 6 years!!!!). We KNOW he was at his oldest Daughter's birthday party - and we KNOW she was just a baby when he got out of jail the first time. We KNOW he moved to Ohio and had a good job - and was a well liked and well-behaved employee - all from records readily available on the internet. We KNOW he returned to Atlanta to meet his father. - so everything adds up to support my thesis - and NOTHING supports him being jacked up on drugs, or released from jail due to covid - or any other of the racially charged BULL**** you ass-hats are throwing around. We also KNOW the cops involved had worse records for violence than Brooks had - and THEY had "issues". If they were not wearing a uniform and a badge THEY would have been behind bars with more serious charges than Brooks had. Finally caught up to them - and about time. |

Anything to sow seeds of discord in the US. afaik he limits himself to obscure newsgroups frequented by old farts. Probably hasn't figured out how to use Farcebook or ****ter where he might get more exposure. |

We'll see won't we? After the trial! I heard this today too: https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2020/0...pt-bts-vpx.cnn Hey, he's only a white pig. Screw him! Brosnan may have a leg to stand on ( if he claims the concussion made him so he didn't know what he was doing)- his partner not so likely. Only now do we find out Brooks shot Brosnan with the tazer BEFORE making a run for it - so there was NO DANGER of him shooting the officers in pursuit.Brosnan was likely pretty ****ed at himself for losing the tazer and getting dropped by it, and MORE ****ed at Brooks for dropping him - and he reacted in anger - commiting an assault in reaction. He'll likely get a year or too for assault - while his partner is lucky they have taken the death penalty off the table. (Georgia has executed 1500 since 1976) |

Who writes this crazy description ? Brooks turned into a fighting madman during the confrontation. Officers had no time to pat him down for arms. During a frantic run with no time to think, Brooks turns and points something at officer. seems textbook training. Ask 10 police officers what they would have done. States I know your guilty if drunk in possession of vehicle control. People need to preach, don't resist, don't run. Your chances of survival are much better being arrested. Greg Should he have bolted?
