An analogy I read a few weeks ago:

For shoes, you have been wearing a pair of Nikes
for the past eight years.

You are not in love with the Nikes, but they have
been getting you through day.

Now the Nikes are worn out.

What to do?

You can buy another pair of Nikes - knowing that you are
not going to be in love with them either.... but figuring
they will probably get you through the day.

Or.... You can cut off both feet and hope they grow
back without bunions."

None of the 5 US presidents were perfect, but, in retrospect, 2 - 3 of
the five did a reasonably good job. Certainly far better than either
Donald or Hillary will do.
