He was pleased to see a good seal, and less light
seen from inside. I actually got paid.

If you have no banged-up fingers and still have them all -- you done
good. I would say your experience is about the same for any DIYer.

All present, accounted for, and not wearing
bandaids, (best Schultz voice) mein Kommandant!

Just under an hour, from arrival to departure.

Your next mission if you decide to accept it, is to install a gasket
weather strip seal on an aluminum metal garage door.

I found that after every nail, I let my arms
hang down and tried to relax. That helped. Also
bending over to pick nails off the ground was
good, bent my back the othe way. Aleve is also
helpful for bad back.

Congratulations, I'm glad it went well for you.

I hear ya about the Aleve, miracle drug at my age.

Took about 10 minutes on my steel 1 piece door a few years ago. Just
pull the old one out, soap up the new one and pull it in.

I don't know why but wooden door always nailed down strips vs. steel
clad foam core insulated doors have channels one can slide the strip
in/out easily.

Probably harder to machine wood into a slot,
so the weather strip slides in.

Aluminum can be extruded, in lengths to fit.
