Default dishwasher vibrates/buzzes

Hi All,

Have a Kenmore 17572201 dishwasher. Yesterday, during
the agitate cycle, it has decided to buzz/vibrate.
Seems to be coming from everywhere. After it run for
a while, it slowly quiets down (not abrupt). Dishes
clean up right nicely. Have tried it on an empty
cavity and no symptom change.

Stop it and look inside and all the arms have moved
and water is dripping off everywhere. All the arms
spin freely.

When it drains and when it fills, it sounds normal.

Any words of wisdom?

Many thanks,
-T

Run it a few more times with dishes and see if it buzzes every time. Maybe there was just some thing loose that was causing the noise.

Have you run it with the are]ms removed? If it still does it you can
narrow it down to either the motor or pump. If it is s ooth,
investigate the arms.

The dishwashers I have known (dated one, in college)
had some solenoids. that shift from different parts
of the cycle. Most likely one is getting noisy.

Buzzed dish washing is drunk dish washing. Don't risk
a fine, jail time, and loss of your dish washing
license. Always wash dishes sober and drug free.

If you remove the rotating arm, also remove the filter unsder the arm and look carefully to see if anything has somehow gotten past the filter and is in the input to the pump. Please, let us know what happens.

I've heard of blow up dolls, terrorists, and now
