.... rebellion against EPA pollution emissions for backyard barbecues

http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2015/03/17/lawmaker-calls-for-rebellion-against-epa-pollution-emissions-for-backyard/

"The EPA is funding a $15,000 University of California-Riverside study
to look at the particulate emissions you breathe when grilling over an
open flame. Along with the drip tray, the emission removal system
includes the use of a “secondary air filtration system is composed of
a single pipe duct system which contains a specialized metal filter, a
metal fan blade, a drive shaft, and an accompanying power system with
either a motorized or manual method,” according to study. "

Considering the steps being taken to bring local police departments under
the DOJ umbrella rather than local, that might (pry smoker) well be the case
someday.

You left out the following:

The EPA said that it doesn't regulate people's backyard barbecues and that the
grant is part of the EPA's "National Student Design Competition for
Sustainability Focusing on People, Prosperity and the Planet (2014)", which is a
student-designed competition for sustainability.

They just want reasonable restrictions on emissions. You
will still have the right to keep and bear grills, after
the background check, and yearly emissions testing. Just
fill out the forms, and wait a couple months for approval.
And hope that the emissions filters are made (by approved
manufacture).

Surely, you won't object to some simple restrictions on
unsafe smokers, after what they do to the environment.

Tell me you're not worried that the Gov will restrict grills
and smokers, and limit them to government run grills and only
allow you one burger a month, for your own good?

Tell me you're not worried that the Gov will outlaw concealed
smokers, and high capacity smokers, limiting the civillians
to only small caliber burgers.

Might be part of Agenda 21, and the New World
Order take over. Need to use Common Core to teach
the kids how to be environmentally responsible,
and be good drones for the party. Everyone's rights
need to be restricted for the good of the party.
After all, what good is freedom if we're all dead
from cooker smokers? And what about global warming?

Soon, the only grills and smokers will be the ones
the Mexicans are importing, with the approval of the
admin, of course.

Lets have student design competitions on how to
reduce taxes, and improve productivity. And lets
have student led shooting and target competition.
I'd like to also have student led classes on history
of manufacturing, and the Constitutionally protected
freedoms that made the USA great (in the past). Such
as the the ready access to private owned firearms
and hunting, which provided us with an Army of
experienced shooters which helped win the two world
wars. And how the present gun phobia will lead to the
US losing the next world war.

And yeah, RWNJs, this is a student project. They funded all of $15,000
for it, which in terms of research grants is a l'il bitty popcorn fart.

Here's a list of other student research projects. I'm sure you can

That's not a very compelling argument, because the govt is *already*
regulating the allowable flow rate of showers. And when we're running
$450bil deficits in the 6th year of a "recovery", there is a lot of
crap spending that could be cut out. You've just found another example
Nice job. But then you libs just like to spend money on anything and everything, as long as someone else gets stuck with the bill.

I tried that for a couple days. It threw my brain
into imbalance. I craved smokers, and could not
help myself. I wrote a check for a thousand dollars
to my local you lib congressman, who told me where to
find an inllegal smoker near me. I went and got a
12 ounce stake done medium well, and covered it with
A-1 steak sauce, and ate it slowly. I sure hope no

You will still be raving about your "freedoms" when you and all your trailer
park neighbors are starving to death without health care or social security
because your corporate sponsered congress people and president have passed all
the wealth of the nation to the top few, with you and almost everyone else as

includes the use of a "secondary air filtration system is composed of

You left out the following:

The EPA said that it doesn't regulate people's backyard barbecues and that the
grant is part of the EPA's "National Student Design Competition for
Sustainability Focusing on People, Prosperity and the Planet (2014)", which is a
student-designed competition for sustainability.

Right wingers sure like to flip out about nothing.

Next time you flush your toilet, turn on you lights or pour gas using
government mandated items, you should think twice, Bob.

My toilet flushes just fine. My lights work. I can transfer
gas from one can to another just fine. Whatcha talkin 'bout, willis?

You will still be raving about your "freedoms" when you and all your trailer
park neighbors are starving to death without health care or social security
because your corporate sponsered congress people and president have passed all
the wealth of the nation to the top few, with you and almost everyone else as
their peons. Have fun with that. Can you afford the necessary gated community
home when they are successful, or will you just have to live in fear and
poverty?

Personal attacks, and absurdities. Some of the reasons
I could never be a progressive liberal.

The US Constitution is not corporate government,

Ah, namecalling. A grown-up debating technique, for sure.

He's in some kind of delusion land.

Of course toilets work fine, if they didn't the act that mandated them
would have been repealed a long time ago.
Low water use toilets were mandated in 1992 by the elder Bush.

As far as lights, the legislation against incandescent bulbs is from 2007.
It does have a "lib" origin, but the bill was signed by GWB.
But that was too much for the current RWNJs and the act was repealed in
2014.

Then gas cans. Not sure about where that regulation came from.
I find the new gas cans just a little troublesome, but I got used to
them. They bother me not at all now. They are supposed to reduce emissions
of gas fumes.

Of course none of these regulations have anything to do with this
student project hyper-scare. It's just a bunch of blather.

Don't you know it's cool to be against everything the government does
even when it's good for all of us?

You no longer have the freedom to buy large GPF toilets.
You no longer have the freedom to buy 100 watt light
bulbs (unless government approved).
You no longer have the freedom to buy your own choice
of gas cans.

Once the pattern is established, the Gov will take your
freedoms one or two at a time, until there are none left
to speak up for you.

(What's that pastor Niemoller quote we need, here....)

The republicans are getting kind of cranky because even as worthless and evil
