Default Pool and deck resurface

We're resurfacing and re-tiling our pool, spa and deck. It's the biggest
home improvement project I've ever (had) done. BUT...I'm not doing the
pool.

I thought about doing the pool and decided to hire a company that only
renovates pools because they have a great reputation and they came in
with a reasonable bid.

My project is the deck. I've already repaired the cracks using Quikrete
cement with a bonding adhesive and a acrylic hardener. The stuff is
unbelievably hard.

My wife picked out "Rustoleum Deck and Concrete Restore." But, after
looking at some video reviews on the internet, I'm not sure I want to
use it.

Rustoleum Deck and Concrete Restore seems to work well on wood but, only
so-so on cement. And, what's odd is, the Rustoleum web site doesn't have
instructional videos for cement; only for wood. In fact, I haven't been
able to find a instructional video for cement.

So, here's the deck that was previously resurfaced by "Sundek" some time
in the '90s. It didn't hold up that well IMO:

Closer up on deck:

I tried to get a repair kit from Sundek but apparently they don't give a
crap about repairs, only selling new decks. It looks like something
similar to "Rustoleum Deck and Concrete Restore" but it does hold up to
a pressure wash.

We are able to pressure wash the deck now and the majority of the deck
tolerates the pressure well. The only problem is where the deck has
failed due to cracks. The problem I have now is, what do I use to
resurface the deck, and crack repairs, that won't wash off when I
pressure wash it?

Your pool deck is much the same as mine. Cement with a Kool Deck
coating. The vinyl strips are drains for water, etc. Leave them open
but you can paint them. My patio pad is covered with the same kool
deck coating ...

This link calls it Cool Deck: (with pics)

Thanks Oren. I'll email them and see if they sell repair kits. It does
look very similar. I called Sundek about a repair kit but they never
responded.

They (Sundek) paint some kind of sealer on before the finish. The stuff
is very tough but it didn't standup to the years of Central TX heat and
cold. The settling cracks are another story. But, where it did holdup,
it's very strong and held up to repeated pressure washings.

I just have the feeling if I use the Rustoleum I'll be sorry. Something
isn't right.

Call Quikrete and find out have their Concrete Resurfacer stands up to
pressure washing.

DAGS 'youtube quikrete concrete resurfacer' for a video.

I was looking at that in the other similar thread. It might work but the
surface isn't concrete. It's a paint similar to the Rustoleum. Maybe I
could use a concrete bonding adhesive like I did on the cracks. It
probably would work better than the Rustoleum crap.
