Customer Service
So five years ago when we had the house rewired the electricians put an
AirKing combo exhaust fan/light in our bathroom. Not two weeks back when I was removing the cover to clean the dust out of the vent slots, the frosted glass dome that the light shines through slipped out (for some reason I held the cover upside down) and of course broke when it hit the floor. So we called AirKing hoping we could buy a new glass dome, but we weren't optimistic and I was thinking of ways to fabricate something out of Plexiglass. Well, they wouldn't sell us just that one part--they sent it to us at no charge even though we told them we'd had the fan for years. It arrived today, packed like it was the crown jewels. I prefer the Panasonic fan in our kitchen because it's so quiet. But I have to admit, that's good customer service from AirKing. |

There are still a few companies that have that kind of service. We
have one of those kitchen faucets where you pull the sprayer out and the hose sprung a leak. This was a Delta faucet that we bought over 10 years ago. I called Delta and they shipped a new hose and fittings free of charge. They are one company that lives up the their warranty. Another company is Crimson Trace, they make laser sights. A pistol manufacturing company, Wilson Combat, will also go the extra mile to insure their pistols function correctly. You may pay more for products from companies with that kind of service, but I think that it is worth it. -- Jim Rusling More or Less Retired Mustang, OK http://www.rusling.org |

I'm starting to see more of that - no argument, and the replacement parts, and they don't make you send anything back or require proof of purchase. It certainly takes the sting out and breeds brand loyalty. R |

Not trying to steal your thread but you reminded be that the folks at Ace water pumps treated me the exact same way when a guide for the float rod broke. Companies who provide this level of service should be recognized. -- Colbyt Please come visit http://www.househomerepair.com |

I never act mad or irate and treat the service rep with respect and don't blame them. Hank ~~~professional ass-kisser :-) |
