Why are there so many bugs this year? Another cycle of black flies, minges
or no see ums. I can't wait for a freeze.

Mostly skeeters around here (Alberta)...not many flies as some years.
Had so much rain it must have drowned the flies for now at least.

Maybe you're dying, and they're waiting to eat you.

Must be wet where you are. We [near Schenectady, NY] have had a
shortage of bugs this year. [and I'm not complaining!]

It has been hot & dry since early May. I've finally gotten some
tomatoes- the first in 3 years.

The bats dying off probably hasn't helped. I haven't seen a single one
this year.
