I use the computer and the Net on a regular basis but I don't know a
whole lot about it all, especially when it gets technical. I have an
Acer Aspire AM5100-U5300A. I would like to speed this computer up, I
would like a very good grasphics card without spending a fortune.
Once I find out what I need I willo just go to ebay but I don't know
what kind of meory, cards and such are compaitble with my machine.
Help please.

Your best source of advice will be from a local 12-year old male.

Too true -- at 13, he discovers baseball -- or hip hop -- and it's downhill
from there.

GIRLS.. Then it's REALLY over!!!

How old is this machine? I'd suspect you need some tuning/cleaning up
because a 2.2ghz Athlon X2 is a reasonably fast processor (although I
HATE AMD processors) and you have 2gb of ram and a Radeon X1250 video
already.

Definitely not a SLOW machine - and not worth putting a $250 vid card
into. If you can find a PCI Express Radeon 9000 for $50 or so, it
might give you faster graphics. Another 2gb of ram may help - if you
are either gaming or running multiple programs at once.

Needs DDR2 667 unbuffered ram
