Hi all,

So I have a 20 x 40 cement pool covered with a sprayed on fiberglass.
The pool went in in 1967. Not sure when the fiberglass went over it.

The cememt is cracking in 4 to 6 vertical locations about 4 feet long
down the sides. Different sides too. The floor is cracking (the
fiberglass in this case).

So what are my options?

I have hears about blasting off the fiberglass, patching the cement
cracks, painting and living happily ever after.

I have hear about some kind of super dura-paint stuff as a final step
over the above.

I have heard about a drop in retro-fit fiberglass shell with a 50 year
warranty.

Lastly, the bull dozer.

Anyone had any experience? Trying to get a ball park on what each
typically costs too.

Fiberglass is not cost-effective given its life. Plaster is better.

If the structure is unstable then a new surface finish will not help that.

This pool has a negative value. Demolish it. You don't want to spend
money to create a lifelong, uninterrupted maintenance chore.
