Bathroom Lights
We have 2 wall light fixtures above the bathroom sink. They are both hanging
by 2 wires, and in the actual space, the 2 wires are capped and taped. What would be the best source to learn how to connect them without calling an electrician or killing myself? Most decent light fixtures will have some sort of instruction sheet
that will show the proper installation along with a simple wiring diagram. Also, go to the library and check out some home improvement books. One caveat is that some older homes do not always have black and white wires and if the light is 3-way wired it can get further confusing. In all honesty, if youre not sure how to do a simple light fixture, get a friend who is competent to show you. Things can go bad real quick with electrical work when done wrong. |

Sunset and Ortho have books on basic wiring, as does the Time-Life series (not sure if that's still around), and there's some info in the Readers Digest "Complete Do-It-Yourself Manual." Study well before you begin. Doubt you'll kill yourself, but you could cause other electrical problems or even a fire :-). First Lesson: If you have the *slightest* *tiniest* doubt about what you're doing, stop immediately, and call an electrician. -- Luke __________________________________________________ _________________ "War is essentially an evil thing.
