Hi all,
I have a leasehold flat in a converted house, the other flat is owned by the freeholder. The freeholder is selling the flat and I presume along with the freehold. Do I have a right of first refusal to purchase the freehold and or the freehold flat for the same offer price? If so how do I proceed? Many thanks in advance. |

How do you expect anyone to answer that without: A - Reading your lease, which is where I would expect any such right to be spelled out. B- Knowing where you are located, so that someone might know of any local laws that might govern this? |

No, not unless this is (a) specified in your lease, or (b) implied by local landlord/tenant laws. -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |
