I don't remember the brand name but we used a timer that was about
a foot scquare with a dial, pointer and knob to select how long to
set the interval for, to control our print enlarger in the
darkroom. I know that there were other versions that were marked
in minutes rather than in seconds like ours was. Check with any
camera store that carries darkroom equipment, or check Porter
Camera's online web site.

Use one of these - you may even be able to change out a light switch on
an existing switched outlet.
