I知 looking to transfer my old VHS home videos to DVD. Anyone
have opinions on these Dual-Deck VHS VCR/DVD Recorders?

IMO - you'll be sorry. Combo units are rarely a good idea except for granny.
What do you do when one half craps out? How do you splice a Macrovision
eliminator in?

You are much better off to do it as separates. There are much less problems,
and the units last longer. The consideration is that there is very little
service support for these, when the warranty is finished. They are
considered "throw-away" products. If they are separates, and one fails, you
can change the one unit, instead of a more expensive dual unit.

If you have separate units, you can insert a video processor in between them
to be able to control the video set-ups.

Remember, Go-Video machines manufactured after a certain date will NOT copy
protected tapes.
