Optima XM6 alarm problem
I have a problem with my alarm
I had a power cut last night and it seems to have rendered the system unresponsive. I'm getting a power on light but no response from key pad or any other light. The power light goes out when I take out the spur fuse so I assume that the back up battery is dead. I can replace that but what about the non responsive keypad |

It may just be in a strange state. --- sam | Sci.Electronics.Repair FAQ Mirror: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/ Repair | Main Table of Contents: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/REPAIR/ +Lasers | Sam's Laser FAQ: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/sam/lasersam.htm | Mirror Sites: http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/REPAIR/F_mirror.html Note: These links are hopefully temporary until we can sort out the excessive traffic on Repairfaq.org. The alarm may come up in the default 'alarm' mode - if so and your code doesn't work, the default factory preset code is 0123. |

Thanks - you're right. I got similar advice from The Security Community website at the weekend and when I tried it - it worked great.
