Question Optima XM6 alarm problem

I have a problem with my alarm

I had a power cut last night and it seems to have rendered the system unresponsive.
I'm getting a power on light but no response from key pad or any other light.
The power light goes out when I take out the spur fuse so I assume that the back up battery is dead. I can replace that but what about the non responsive keypad

First try removing the backup battery AND power entirely for a couple
minutes. It may just be in a strange state.

Replace the backup battery with the power off, then restore mains.

The alarm may come up in the default 'alarm' mode - if so and your code
doesn't work, the default factory preset code is 0123.

Thanks - you're right. I got similar advice from The Security Community website at the weekend and when I tried it - it worked great.

many thanks for taking the time to post a reply
