My brother lost his remote for his Curtis Mathes TV (I think it is a combo
TV/VCR). The model number is CMC13003 and was made in the year 2000. Does
anyone know where he can buy an original or a universal the will work and do
most of the functions? I have check all over the web and can't seem to find
very much for Curtis Mathes. Does anyone know who made this model for Curtis
Mathes?

There is a company that specializes in universal remotes called
Universal Electronics. They make the One-For-All (sold at Wal-Mart)
brand and the Radio Shack brand plus a bunch of others and they would
probably put your name on one of their remotes if you paid them enough
money . . .

Point being is that manuals for these remotes are on-line and you can
see if your model is in there before you pop the bubble pack. Here is
the manual for my Radio Shack $15 special:

Pretty certain that is a Daewoo made in Korea Curtis Mathes branded tv set.

There should be a phone number in the back of the owners manual to call.
Since he lost the remote odds are he does not have the manual any longer???
