Default Prima Q2700 Weird color issues.

Hey, so I'm no techy, or anything of the sort, but I thought I'd help
my Girlfriend out and fix her grandma's tv, thinking it'd be a quick
fix. Here's the issue.
The blue on the tv is gone, but not completely. Every so often the
color will pop back on for maybe 2-3 minutes at a time, once or twice
a week. She says she's cleaned it head to toe, nothing still. I've
googled this thing six ways from sunday, and all the posts seem to
mention replacing boards or the such, but the color isn't completely
gone. Anything I can do? Super huge thanks in advance.

Start looking for dry joints ! Start around the tube base circuit
board.

I hate to be a pest, but you'll have to be a bit more descriptive than
that hehe. I know what a dry joint is, but is there anything specific
I should look for? Is there anything that could have suddenly caused
this? Her TV was working fine about a month ago, when suddenly the
blue just vanished.
Thanks for your quick response by the way!

If you feel competent to work on live circuits then probe around with a
wooden skewer and see if touching or tapping causes the blue to come
back.

Well Baron, I prodded around a bit, but without much luck. I don't
actually know what I'm supposed to be poking to be quite frank. I
called a few repair shops. Cheapest they charge is $75 just to look
at it, then another $80 an hour to fix, + parts. I'm not willing to
pay that kinda moolah for a not so up there TV. I can take a few
pictures if you want, however, I really don't know what to look for
since google has almost nothing on the issue, except a few other
people having different issues. Someone lost red, but they replaced a
board and it worked fine. It did however flash back blue for about 2
minutes yesterday. Last time i'll bother ya :P If I can't get it going
soon, I'll just ditch it.
