yes, that was me (SN75518)

but i can not find any datasheets on the SNJ55500EJ to see if in
fact it will work

unfortuneately i have allready invested lots of time in an
Allegro 6818 PLCC to DIP convertor and about to install and test
it but if it does not work then i would try one of those SNJ55500
well maybe i will get 1 anyways

SN55500EJ datasheet should give you the spec (SNJ is just the MIL/QML
Qualified version of the standard SN part)
