I have two out of town calls on these, same model # & same problem.
Model # 55FX20B, both
were shutting down, turn back on, & they would run fine, now they are
both dead. Any common
problems with this model? Do the STK convergence IC's cause this?

Hia Dani,
The STK's can cause the set to trip. Unplug the convergence coils one
at a time, and see if it comes on. These are easily identified as 3
small plugs going to each gun form the convergence board, and will be
somewhere near the STK IC's. I don't recall this set in detail, but I
have worked an a lot of Toshiba, Sony's etc. If you need any more
