![]() Hi there, My Trinitron television (KV-19TS20) will work normally for fifteen minutes before suddenly becoming saturated with audio and visual static (no signal is discernible at all). After turning it off for a few minutes, it will work normally again. Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause? thanks, Max (to reply by email, remove the number from the address) |

Max:
The problem you are describing is more than likely cracked, dry, cold or otherwise faulty solder connections on the main board or in one of the tuner or IF modules..... of course there are other faults that could be the culprit too..... ......this is not usually an expensive repair at most shops.... ......at the very least you should TAKE it to a service shop for a repair cost estimate so you can make an intelligent repair decisions with facts from a tech that has actually opened er up instead of internet or telephone wild guesses. - Best Regards, Daniel Sofie Electronics Supply & Repair - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - wrote in message ups.com... Thanks, you guys. I was willing to get the TV repaired, but I
circumvented the problem by sending the signal through the RCA cables rather than through the coaxial line. best, Max sofie wrote: Max: The problem you are describing is more than likely cracked, dry, cold or otherwise faulty solder connections on the main board or in one of the tuner or IF modules..... of course there are other faults that could be the culprit too..... .....this is not usually an expensive repair at most shops.... .....at the very least you should TAKE it to a service shop for a repair cost estimate so you can make an intelligent repair decisions with facts from a tech that has actually opened er up instead of internet or telephone wild guesses. - Best Regards, Daniel Sofie Electronics Supply & Repair - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - wrote in message ups.com...
