NEC K2500 component
"T o d d P a t t i s t" wrote in message ... A friend has a Nissan with a blower motor controlled by the climate control that fails to full on. He's tracked it down to a module that he's replaced twice for $130 (lasts for one year). He's tired of that, and the suggested fix is to replace the blower motor for $180 (plus the $130 module)! The module has a massive heat sink, and a blown component marked NEC K2500. We're guessing this is a NEC N-channel MOSFET 2SK2500, but there's no such beast listed. OTOH, there is a NEC 2SK2511 that will handle 40 amps and has the same package, but we can't seem to find a supplier. (The blower draws 10 Amps at 13.5 V.) Two questions - Can anyone provide info on the K2500 and confirm its specs or that a 2SK2511 would be a reasonable sub, and where can we get one? Every supplier we've found so far has wanted a $150 min order. Here is a link to some info about that: http://www.teccor.com/cgi-bin/r.cgi/...tfield= k2500 -- David Farber David Farber's Service Center L.A., CA |
