Samsung TCD1341 no on screen display.
This Samsung TCD1341 had an intermittent powering on problem. Replacing a
couple of capacitors, C950, 10uf 250V, and C974, 10uf 35V, took care of that. However, now the on screen display is missing. When you change channels or volume, there is no display. I don't have the original remote but some of the menus used to work with a universal remote. Is there a hidden service menu on this set? I noticed lots of archived posts about corrupt EPROM's in these Samsung TV's but no mention of how to access the service menu. Thanks for your reply. -- David Farber David Farber's Service Center L.A., CA |
