Default Sony Clie TJ27 (PDA) - vertical roll

I dropped my PDA on the ground, nothing cracked. The unit turned on, but the
display on the screen appears to be rolling vertically and so quickly, you
cannot make out anything but color.

Any insight on what I might check before I buy something else?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

You could be lucky and have the clamp on the flex ribbon to the Display Assy
pop open. They open up like a clam shell, this would reduce the contact
pressure on the connector and cause all sorts of problems.

Ether that or you've cracked something.

Hey Wes,

Your advice worked Great but...

I removed each clamp and flex ribbon and reseated them back into place using
a microscope.

I turned it on and it appeared to work fine, but...

the battery does not appear to recharge or power the unit any more.

While the connection appears loose, it seems that I can measure the battery
voltage just past the connection.

Any ideas on what I may have done or what may have happened during the fall?

Thanks again,

Mark
