Default sheet metal

I have my shop all set up and my dust collector piping run to the tools. I
would like to make some sheet metal hoods at the tools but never worked with
it before. Does anyone know of any sites that might help?

You could also ask in rec.crafts.metalworking to see if anyone has done the
same already...

Not sure where else to send you.

Some good reference material is available @ www.lindsaybks.com. I would
suggest _Tinplate Work_ a Lindsay reprint and _Working Sheet Metal_ by Dave
Gingery. The Gingery book has VERY basic stuff on how to fabricate your
sheet metal tools and etc.

Rich:
Before you get too deep in "tin bending",you might want to look at one of
the Borgs,in the Heating/Ac section for some of their "ducts". You might be
amazed at what you can find and with a little "snipping", modify one to fit
your needs. I made a hood for my router table and a scoop for a pick-up for
a lawn leaf vacuum from an electric leaf blower. Crude maybe, but they both
worked!
