Default JDS dust collector review

SWMBO got me a JDS 1.5hp 1200cfm dust collector for Christmas.

Here's the details:
Cost - $279 from amazon
Easy to put together (took me about 30 minutes)
Quality seems good to me. Everything fit very well.
Relatively quiet. Compared to my shopvac anyway. My shopvac was noisy
enough to make me wear earplugs. Don't need 'em with the JDS.
Works great with the Jet seperator lid thingy.

I just ordered a butt load of hose/accessories to hook everything in my shop
up. I think I'm into this about $450 or so including the cost of the dust
collector. Those accessories add up.

I've only had it set up about a week and man, what a difference. I've been
building some medicine cabinets out of mdf for a house I'm building. I
build quite a few things from mdf and the dust goes everywhere. Not
anymore! Huge difference.

I've still yet to hook my table saw, radial arm, jointer and chop saw up yet
so hopefully that will make an even bigger difference. So far all I have
collected is from the router, bandsaw and drum sander. I used to use my
shop vac on the drum sander and would still get dust in the air and buildup
in the sander. Not anymore.! Works very well on the router table too. You
who have routed mdf know how much dust is created.

I just bought a remote shut off switch from ebay. That would be my only
complaint is the switch is awkward to turn on and off.

All in all, this is a good quality machine and I give it two thumbs up.
Will post pics when everything get's hooked up.
